Post Project Review
My project Sneaky Sneak is an AI-based puzzle game in which you must evade AI guards in order to obtain keys to unlocking the door. AI is relatively new and has been quickly picked up by the gaming industry as a new way to form player interactions. Though these interactions have yet to be perfected, since the processes they need to run on take a lot of power. This can be seen in how CyberPunk 2077 planned on having an AI city that interacted with itself without the player even being there. It worked, but with having that many interactions, basic systems could not run it. I believe that this is part of its limitations, as, in order to have a fully running AI, they require a lot of power. But I still find that basic AI that only involves random movements, such as the guards in my game, proves to be a helpful way to program enemies. I feel as if this technology can be very transformative and can be used in many different situations, from moving enemies to creating randomized player interactions, the possibilities are seemingly endless. Sneaky Sneak does a decent job at showing off the basic motions of AI and how they can be programmed to perform a simple task but in their own ways.
